How it works
Your wedding bouquet is more than just flowers, it's a beautiful reminder of one of the most meaningful days of your life. At Flor Keepsakes, every bouquet is carefully preserved and transformed into a timeless piece of botanical artwork, allowing you to treasure those memories for years to come.
Step 1 | Enquire
Once you've secured your wedding date, get in touch via my website or email to check availability. I recommend booking as early as possible, as I only accept a limited number of bouquets to ensure every bride receives the time and attention her flowers deserve.
Step 2 | Reserve Your Date
If your wedding date is available, I'll send you a Bridal Reservation Form along with my booking information.
Your booking is confirmed once your completed reservation form and booking fee have been received.
Step 3 | Your Wedding Day
Enjoy every moment of your special day!
After your celebrations, place your bouquet in clean water and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat until it can be delivered or couriered.
Step 4 | Bouquet Drop-Off
For the best preservation results, your bouquet should reach me within 1–3 days after your wedding.
You can either:
- Deliver your bouquet by appointment.
- Courier it using a reliable overnight courier service.
Once your booking is confirmed, I'll send you detailed packaging and care instructions to ensure your flowers arrive safely.
Step 5 | The Preservation Process
Your flowers are carefully pressed using traditional preservation techniques before being left to dry naturally.
This is the longest part of the journey and cannot be rushed. Over the following 4–6 months, each flower is monitored, cared for and prepared for its final design.
Step 6 | Designing Your Artwork
Once your flowers are fully preserved, I carefully create a bespoke design that complements both your bouquet and your chosen frame.
You'll receive a design proof for approval before anything is permanently assembled, giving you the opportunity to review the layout and request any small adjustments.
Step 7 | Framing
After your design has been approved, your flowers are permanently mounted and professionally framed to create a timeless botanical keepsake that celebrates your wedding day.
As a special thank you, every bridal bouquet preservation also includes a complimentary pair of handcrafted resin earrings, created using your own preserved flowers.
Step 8 | Ready to Treasure
Once your artwork is complete, I'll let you know it's ready.
You can either collect your frame by appointment or have it carefully packaged and couriered anywhere within South Africa.
